Elizabeth Sousa, Personal Lines Customer Service Agent at GDI Insurance, has been an advocate for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) research and awareness since her daughter’s diagnosis in 2009.
For the last two years, she has partnered with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) in working towards a cure by participating in the Walk to Cure Diabetes. The JDRF is the largest nongovernmental funder of T1D research.
The Walk raises funds, awareness, and hope for the millions of people living with and affected by T1D, a serious autoimmune disease. By raising money for critically needed research, EACH of us can make a real difference in the lives of people with T1D.
Elizabeth has formed a team, TEAM ANA, for this year’s Walk on October 13, 2013 at the Oakland Zoo and she’s asking for your support.
Visit her team page to join, make a donation and/or begin fundraising. It's simple, fast and fun!
If you are unable to join Team Ana, please consider making an online donation. Last year she raised $150.00, and this year her fundraising goal is $500.00. With your support, she will be sure to exceed this! Donating online is quick, easy and secure!
Every dollar brings us one step closer to the cure.
