The people who work at GDI not only care about their clients, but about their community in general. In addition to the annual Community Safety Saturday event, many employees participate in fundraising events for causes that affect us all.

At three years of age, Elizabeth Sousa’s daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Now four years later, Elizabeth works with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) to raise funds for a cure and bring awareness of this life-threatening disease.

She will be participating in two walks this month. For each walk she is raising $100. Help her reach her goal by clicking on one of the team pages below!

The first walk will be on Sunday, October 14th at 9am at the Oakland Zoo. For more information on this event please click here. To participate in the walk and/or make a small donation, please visit her Team page.

The second walk will be on Sunday, October 28th at 11am in San Francisco. Here’s the link for more information on this walk, and to join this team and/or to donate please click here.

Stay tuned for an update on these walks later in the month! Just another example of how GDI Cares More…
